Does our government not add on like 40%? You'll find mainland Europe has cheaper public transport i.e. rail system. I am paying 10% more for an annual train pass than I did last year. I am sure the bbc done an article about the whole thing. UK people = ripped off...

I know that we are taxed heavily on our cars here but I find it hard to argue against this. The cost of petrol does not stop me from traveling. It does stop me from making unnecessary journeys and to rethink what kind of car I might have next time around. As long as our taxes are used appropriately this has got to be a good way of making us reduce emissions, conserve resources and stop us jamming up the roads.
