Pete, once again I require your immense knowledge!

My Dad says his AVG Antivirus trial has run out and he has to pay to renew, sooo basically can we get any decent antivirus protection for free or do we god forbid actually have to pay?!

AVG isnt a trial, it will be a pain in the ass and prompt you to buy it but you dont need to. If need be you can just uninstall it and redownload the free one from free.grisoft.com :)

Agreed Free AVG is the best way to go for home users, no need to pay the antivirus tax.
