easy way to turn mp3s into ringtones?
must have apps?
tips?

1. Ringtones is the gayest thing about the iPhone - I think you need to buy the track on the itms then rebuy it as a ringtone.

2. I have the following currently installed: Wunderradio, shareprice, marketwatch, Guardian, Eurosport, Sky News, Facebook, Ebay, Paypal, my O2, thetrainline,Sky+, Skype,last.fm, echofon (twitter), shazam, google earth, sky football, flickr,wordpress, accorhotels and linkedin.

3. Buy a cheap thin see through case for when you drop it. Buy a second USB cable for work and a charger for the car - the battery life is shit when you use it a lot.

Ringtones are pretty simple actually. Get any MP3 you want, cut it down to size (30 secs max I think), I use a free program called MP3 Cutter but Im sure the Mac has a better built in one.
Stick the mp3 in itunes then right click and convert to AAC then simply find the file and rename the extension to ".m4r" and itunes will pick it up as a ringtone and let you copy it to your phone. Simples!
