I desperatly need to replace my monitor seeing as it is the size of a small caravan, on 17" and is on its last legs. Plus i spend about 40hrs a week playing world of warcraft so i might as well get something a bit bigger. Problem is dont have much money so i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

ive seen this http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130842

which seems good but i dont wana spend £200 and end up with something crap...

The Acer ones are pretty good (I have two 17" monitors on my work desk) and we sell a lot of them to customers.

Unless you have a really good computer the chances are you won't be able to play games on the native resolution of that one plus some games don't work as well in widescreen. (it looks dreadful especially if you are stretching 1024 x 768).

that size screen is a waste of time unless as pete says you have a rockin pc (Yours is pretty good :P but not that good!)

I'd personally suggest seeing if you can pick up a 19" non widescreen from somewhere. Acer are pretty damn good too!

How is that PC running now anyway?? 8)

agreed with benjie - a non widescreen 19" monitor would be perfect for world of warcraft

This Acer one looks good and isn't a bad price: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/138626

it runs like sex (smooth not sticky) most of the time. it does crash in wow sometimes but i think thats coz of addons being bugged, or maybe overheating. I think 'll get a few fans to wack on the back of it....

Cheers for the advice on monitors though, i think i may go with your suggestions. Anyone up for an old skool throwing pc equipment out a 1st floor window video clip? 8) 8)
