I just wrote a cheque for £20587.50, it physically hurt! I suspect when I hand it over to the solicitor later today my hand may refuse to release it and I'll have to tell them to knock me out for my own good!

It took the standard 6 weeks, and it was smooth like butter with no complications, and my solicitor asked me whether I wanted to rush things through or delay things

Right people I require Broadband advice, I was gonna get it with my Sky package but they don't do the free base broadband in my area and next one is £17 extra a month. So basically I just wanted the cheapest most basic broadband going, I don't spend much time online or download much so just needs to be fast enough not to make me wanna get smashy waiting for stuff to load! What providers do you recommend?

I'm with Plusnet and so are most of our customers at work. Their cheapest package is £5.99/month for the first 3 months and £11.99 there after.

You get a free wireless router and I can vouch for good service.

You on a contract on your mobile? Most of them will give you cheaper broadband if you are.
If you aint looking at changing your phone might be worth looking at a SIM only contract which will give you more texts and minutes a month than you would ever use for about £8 a month then broadband for about the same.
Depends obviously how much you use your mobile and how much you top up a month, might work out cheaper if you top up more than £10 a month

You know I'm not on a contract, I hardly use my mobile and just top up a tenner a month so I imagine it will be cheaper to get broadband seperately.

I am with talktalk, only had one small problem with the broadband so far which isnt bad considering the price.

£16.99 a month for Line rental, broadband and free evening and weekend calls. Even got free calls to 50 countries!

Argh my head hurts! I apparently have a connected BT line but no phone number, Sky can sort me a new line and number for £25 and I'd get free calls with them and have to sort out my broadband with someone else, but on most broadband suppliers websites they say I need a BT line so if Sky are activating my line is that gonna cause a problem? I dunno if I'm best just leaving Sky out of it and sorting the phone line/calls/broadband with one supplier, but then I still need to get the phone line activated or whatever, confusedddddd!
