Landon Donovan set for a loan switch to Everton, one of my all time fav players. Think this might be the move of the window, very good fast player with a lot of skill

Should be a good signing, thought it was a bit bizarre getting in a striker when that's the one position where they haven't got injuries but assume he will play on the wing like he does for USA

WHAT?! Do you just have to be English to be considered a candidate for the World Cup Squad?! If so I will hereby be referring to Bramble as England World Cup candidate Titus Bramble!

Considering there are so few English footballers then yes - if you are in the premier league and are English then you are a world cup candidate.

Yeah but there's only 22 places in the squad, so assuming you take 4 strikers I can think of a good 10 strikers before you get to Zamora and it's unlikely 6 of them will be injured!

If playing in the Premier League is one of the criteria that rules Cuntface out! Fergie was quoted this week basically saying yeah we'd like to help Owen get to the World Cup but he plays the same position as Rooney and I'm not gonna drop Rooney am I!

I know there's a lot of ridiculous rumours around atm but this one is the most ludicrous I've seen so far -

"The Sun claim that Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa will cost £40m if he is to move to Manchester United."

Dunno if any of you have heard of Ben Arfa, but he was dubbed a wonderkid very young, sold by Lyon to their biggest rivals Marseille where he's not even first choice. a. Can't imagine Utd would be remotely interested in him b. He's worth £5-10m tops!

I suppose you could interpret it as if Ben Arfa ever got good enough to play for Utd he would probably cost £40m?!

I'd say Chelsea are the favourites for Aguero in the summer, with Utd the only other option. Will be very surprised if he goes to anyone other than those two

Where else can he go? He damn sure ain't staying at Atletico who are more likely to get relegated than win anything atm, and Utd and Chelsea are the only teams who need a striker and have the cash to afford him

I experienced quite possibly my purest joy in football on Saturday.

Picture the scene, Man Utd drawing 1-1 with Birmingham, 10 minutes to go, Fergie looks to his bench desperately needing a goal, he sees Michael Owen but oh who's that sat next to Owen, why it's Mame Biram Diouf, Fergie considers his 20-odd years of knowledge of football and one of the greatest managers of alltime then sends on Diouf ahead of Owen.

Diouf - excited to make his debut
Owen - realises his career is over
Me - fucking laughing my ass off
