You can but I always run into problems.

I've recently played around with Crossover Mac (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/) and had loads of problems trying to do anything interesting.

I have Parallels and VMware and they are much better options for running Windows apps on a mac. I find Parallels to be slightly better but I rarly use it these days.

Crossover, Parralels and Vmware are all crap for gaming. Bootcamp is pretty much your only option for Mac.

What application you trying to get to work on your mac?

Its a save game scout tool.. I've got it on my Netbook, but thought it'll be easier if I can run it off my Mac too

The chances are any Wine based software wont run it so your best option is a copy of Parallels with WinXP.

Parallels has a nice coherence mode where you get your start bar on top of your dock and windows programs show as dock icons.

I'm assuming I'd have to download a copy of XP to install in Parallels?
