We mainly used software provided in Apple's iLife suite for editing and production. Our aim was more on the comedy and creativity of the documentary rather than touching bits up in high end software.

All filming was done on two cameras, the one was a canon digital camcorder that did all the actual documentary scenes and the second was a kodak digital camera that was used for the production shots. Everything was recorded onto 2SD cards - one 512mbs and the other 128mbs. As most of the production was done locally it was easy enough to move it straight to the computer.

All editing was done on an iMac G5 running OSX 10.4 Tiger, it has a nice 20" screen which was very handy for editing. The voice over commentary was recorded with an iSight web cam.

We used iMovie to edit all of the different videos together because of its ease of use and nice selection of features. Any audio editing was done in Garageband then the DVD was put together in iDVD (for the creation of menu's etc).
