In a bid to help the unemployed back into work, a Jobs Fair has been organised in Shrewsbury by local MP Daniel Kawczynski.  The event will take place on Friday 27 September and will provide the opportunity for those looking for a job to come along and meet with prospective employers to discuss potential work opportunities.

Over 40 local businesses have been invited to Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury between 10:00am and 3:00pm on Friday 27 September 2013,with many employers having already signed up to support the event. Businesses can use the event as part of a recruitment drive.

Daniel Kawczynski said:
“Shrewsbury has been hit hard over the last year or so with the loss of some major employers and I am keen to spread the word that there are still many great businesses out there that can offer a wide variety of employment opportunities.

Shrewsbury employment trend of the past few months has been encouraging but there are still a lot of my constituents without a job or a plan to get one.   I know that similar events held in other parts of the country have been very successful and well attended.  I hope that this Jobs Fair will open up opportunities for the people of Shrewsbury who are looking for employment.”
